Video footage from Aberdare Park during the first Covid-19 lockdown in May 2020. The playground in the park was eerily silent and abandoned due to the lockdown restrictions being in force. It resembled scenes from the film - Children of Men, whereby the human race had lost the ability to reproduce, leaving schools and playgrounds silent and abandoned.

Footage from the top lake in Dare Valley Country Park, near Bwlfa Dare Terrace, Cwmdare. Footage was shot on 14th April, 2020 during an early morning walk to record the dawn chorus. It was pretty cold that morning with a frost covering the benches round the lake. This was the start of the first Coronavirus lockdown in the UK and formed part of my daily exercise each day.

There was a met office yellow warning for a thunderstorm for the evening of 17th June, 2020. I thought I'd try and record it as an experiment. Short video has some recording of the thunderclaps and evening bird song with the rain in the background. There is also a time lapse of the cumulonimbus cloud passing through.

At the time I booked it through the Jack Daniels distillery website. We did the "Angels Share" tour; this was back in 2016.
Can't wait leave Saturday for St. Lucia.

Tour is quite different since my visit with a friend from SoCal where I grew up back in 1981 - Everything was much less structured and organized - We were able to tour through various buildings and specific distilling areas covering the entire "making" process throughout its cycle, which doesn't seem to be part of the more commercialized tour today - Cool memories from the best decade ever... \m/

I did pilot for a day with united airlines 4 years in a row. I piloted the 747-200 and 400 sims twenty years ago. I booked the gold package. 4 hours of sim time with the instructor included in gold one, silver package was 2 hours of sim time, bronze package was 1 hour of sim time. It was around $2,300 per session not including hotel or transportation. We got discounted room rates through the airline at any hotel of our choice.

It’s funny, I never heard him speak about Nathan Green. Without Mr. Green there would never had been Jack Daniels Whiskey.
I know the tour guide was talking fast but at the sugar maple site he said “two cords make a rick”. That’s backwards, 2 (or 3) ricks make a cord depending on how long the wood is cut. 24” pieces will make a cord with only 2 ricks while 18” pieces will take 3 ricks to make a cord. A rick measures 8’ long by 4’ high by whatever length the wood is cut. A cord measures 4’ x 4’ x 8’ or 128 square feet. To make the 4’ width you can have two 24” stacks or three 18” stacks.

Shame it's no longer there. The company folded near the end of 2018 and the place is now taken over by a home/business design company. There is "ATM Aquarium Products", but they only sell the fish tank cleaning products that was shown sometime during the last 2 seasons of Tanked and are not affiliated with the show or ATM. "ATM Aquarium Products" doesn't seem to have a storefront in Vegas (or anywhere, for that matter), but they do sell products from the US and UK through various locations (like Wal-Mart, Petco, Amazon, etc).
Well you learn something new each day; I had no idea they had ceased trading. I googled it to find that there is an ATM website, but it is not affiliated with the 'Tanked' TV show nor the previous site in Las Vegas, NV. Thanks for the news.

BY THE WAY Y'ALL we're still doing all of this post-pandemic. Most bar and venue owners in Nashville fought the shutdown and have made it their point to keep these small businesses going on Broadway. How long did this take if you don't mind me asking?
It took around 6 hours; pretty much depends on the tide and wind as the crossing can involve sailing partially against the tidal flow if you don’t get the timing right. Under ideal conditions it could be done in about 4 hours for a typical sailboat with favourable winds I.e no tacking etc
